In the midst of holiday season

Holiday parties, hors d'oeurves galore, ugly sweaters, old friends, new friends... all part of the December experience. I find it amusing whenever someone asks how they made the dish they brought to the party... the response almost always seems to include "it's easy to make" in some way or another. Just one time I want to hear someone say "oh and this was hard to make too". A random thought.

Another thing -- I hate hate hate how Minnesotans forget how to drive every damned winter. It's sooo frustrating.

Another thing -- I really hope the outdoor ice rinks around me open up soon.

One more thing -- it will be nice to have another 9 days off in just over a week. So so nice.
