I did this weekend. Or at least that's what it seems like.
Friday: I got home and there were already people there waiting to go somewhere. Six of us went to Major's for dinner, drinks, and hockey/baseball. I had the walleye and broccoli. Mmmm. We came back to our place for some more hockey and drinks, then we headed to my friend's on Grand and had a drink there. We finally decided on the Lodge, which was a good pick as I unexpectedly found some more friends there. After a few more drinks and dancing, we went back to my place to eat some leftovers and crash.
Saturday: Got in some poker in the morning, then got my hair cut in the afternoon. Then, St. Cloud. I got up to my friend's place there and as I was walking inside, I hear a "Jeff?" from behind me. I look and see a girl I knew from Madison. Wow, how random, and what a small world. It's really weird since I'll be in Madison next weekend so I'll see her again in a few days. Anyways we played some darts and video games then headed to the Carpet to meet up with our regular bartender. I always look forward to St. Cloud since I know I'll probably only spend about twenty bucks over the whole night. While at the bar, I actually felt a little old for a second. I was talking to a friend of a friend that I just met only to have another friend tap me on the shoulder and say "Dude, she's married." Oh. Okay... does that mean I have start looking for rings now? Man. On another note, one of my friends has some serious growing up to do. I mean yeah, he's my friend and all, but wow he's got some issues... basically he was just a tough guy all night. I won't go into details, but I hope someday it doesn't catch up with him in a bad way. Anyways it was another fun night in the Cloud.
Sunday on the drive back home my roommate and I stopped for some greasy greasy food at KFC. Ick and yum at the same time to that. I don't do that very often, but hey you only live once right? We got back and watched some 24, then decided to make a good dinner. We headed to Cub and decided on a whole beef tenderloin (3.5 pounds of filet mignon:) with mashed potatoes, broccoli, and Texas toast. I made a cream-based red wine sauce to go with it. Yes, it was good. Around 10 or so I hit a brick wall and made for an early bedtime. I'm glad that happened as I'm refreshed and ready to go today... Thursday I leave for Madison, sweet sweet Madison...
