nonstopbusy

I can't really explain my last week any better than that.

It all began last Thursday with a night out on a weekday. The next day at work was a long one, no surprise there. Then Friday night started out well with me making a dork of myself, then wandering around Minneapolis seeing some new places I haven't seen, then seeing another old friend I haven't seen for awhile, then a life-changing experience. No details here, but something I don't ever want to go through again, and I was on the light end of it. Enough said.

Saturday began early early to clean up the rest of the mess that was created on Friday, and it left me a bit tired during the day. I soon made my way to my buddy's house and found he was engaged earlier that day, very unexpected! (And congrats man!) From there, I found myself having to rely on about 4 or so energy drinks for fuel, and it worked, wow did it work... I was bouncing off the walls.

Saturday night was a stay in St. Paul in two hotel rooms booked by another buddy's gf, with bars inbetween hotel visits. I really think I like going out in St. Paul for a casual night out more than in Minneapolis, but I think I'll run more tests before I decide... ha. I woke up and headed home on Sunday to prepare for something, but it got cancelled... more on that later. The rest of Sunday consisted of catching up on my tele programs an ended with some good hockey. I had a nice snipe to start the game, and the goalie even thanked me for it after the game during the handshake. End of weekend.

Monday was a scramble to clean my apartment and pay bills before my work trip, that's about it.

Tuesday was a scramble to do laundry and work out before my work trip, that's about all.

Tonight was that thing I didn't get to do on Sunday, and I learned a few things. Mmm, I don't think I'll spill on here, but I probably will if asked... let's just say it was good practice.

Tomorrow is packing day, maybe I'll have time to fit in a bartending school session but man, I just haven't found time lately. That time will come, and I can't wait. But I have work trip and Madison coming up, so I'll get those outta the way first.

Can I play tag if I don't know six other bloggers? I'll respond to that one when I have some more creative loopiness in my system, right now I'm spent.

I think this is #3

Oh my god. I went out on a weeknight. The company was 2 Madison friends, and man, I don't see enough of them. Fun night for a weeknight, I really think this is only the 3rd time I've been out-out on a weeknight since starting work 15 months ago. I can't help but smile :)

Sometimes, I'm just stubborn

Nine days ago was my last blog. The only reason I haven't blogged more recently is because it required 2 minutes to convert to new blogger. Yeah, I'm stubborn for dumb reasons sometimes... anyways moving on...

'Twas a good week for making the most of my time, every day except for Monday included some type of exercise, and it feels great. Two sessions of bartending school has me moving on to something new and exciting, Saturday night was a crazy one in St. Cloud, and hockey on Sunday went well. I'm looking forward to Florida in less than two weeks, and some friends are stirring ideas of planning some sort of trip to take in a few months. Wow, I am tired and rambling, I think this blog entry was made just to keep my blog regular. It almost feels a bit like I'm on autopilot right now and I'm enjoying the ride, a bit bumpy here and there but it's an upward climb toward something higher. Okay, now I know I'm rambling. Or crazy. Or tired. Or it's the Nyquil talkingnagngnzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... *bluff*

Yeah I didn't really fall asleep there, but I'm very near that point. There are some other things going through my mind now but I'll ramble some more when I have more energy. What a weird post. I am tired.

Oh, and M, maybe I'll post my myheritage.com matches but yeah, I may have gotten some female look-alikes, weeeird...

Biiiig fish!

One big fish, to rule them all. Okay, ignore the nerd reference to the one ring...

28 and 3/4" walleye was caught by colleague this morning at 8:30 AM, I literally yelled out loud "HOLY SHIT!!!!!" It barely fit in the hole! Hey, mind out of the gutter you, it really barely fit.

The ice fishing trip in itself would have been a success without a fish, but this was one big memorable highlight. It's literally the biggest walleye I've ever seen caught, not to mention it was caught ice fishing! It made everyone happy, and it will soon be mounted on the wall at work. I don't know why it's such a big thing to catch a larger-than-average fish, but it just makes me happy.

Another highlight of the trip was the deep frying of a turkey. Why? I'm into cooking, I like big cooking contraptions, I like big pieces of meat, and this is something I'd never seen before and I'd always wanted to see. It was pretty cool.

Tonight, the fun doesn't stop with The Alarmists playing downtown... but first I'd better shower, as I reek of minnows, beer, and deep frying fat, all on top of the 37 hours without a shower-associated b.o. ... plus there wasn't any t.p. ... okay that last one was a lie!
