Jeffy Party 25

Super duper fun night. Beautiful suite, great view. Sushi for dinner, then, well, the real fun, mostly... people came and mingled and got into the night, untill everyone was kicked out of the hotel at 10:30 for being too loud, but it was okay timing as it was bar time. We walked a half block to Barfly and never looked back... one of the most fun, if not the most fun night of dancing evar. Time flew. One small glitch -- lost my phone, but someone called the bar and they said they found a phone... I hope it's mine! Well anyways we all had an awesome time until about 1, then everyone seemed to beat me back to the hotel with enough time to get loud again and get kicked out again! Everyone not registered to the room was kicked out for good, then I got back and only a few others besides me got past security to sleep. I think everyone with the exception of one made it back somewhere okay -- I hope they did, but I haven't been able to check without that phone... the one exception was my poor buddy who somehow ended up getting sucker punched from some dude in another suite, and I heard that this same dude hit a girl right after that. Umm, so wrong. But anyways a few of us remained and stayed the night. What a night. Cons: kicked out of hotel twice, lost phone, friend got punched. Pros: super duper fun night, one of the best ever! And another typical weekend passes...

Twenty-five

I'm liking 2008 so far, for the most part at least. Fun times had, fun times to be had. I think the area under the curve of satisfaction vs. time for the year has surpassed that of all of 2007. Well that's a stretch, but the mere fact that I would even say that... whoa, time out, do people get geekier as they get older? I mean seriously, would I even think to say that like 3 years ago? That's two geeky posts in the last two posts. That's a rate of 100% in the last two.... wow, I'm tired

Cured... for now

I'm not gonna lie, work weeks were getting long. Even the 2-day and 3-day weeks. Vegas solved that. There's something about having extremes in my life -- I just have to have them to enjoy their opposites. I needed to have a little too much fun to appreciate the sanity of work. I need a tough work week sometimes to really appreciate the weekends. Such a love/hate relationship. My sine wave of life necessitates a large amplitude. (Stop! Stop being such a geek!)

Upcoming fun events: birthday, host bachelor party, party bus birthday, tax return, secret vacation, sister's wedding, April Fool's Day

Upcoming not-fun events: (Blank? Really? I guess you can't predict these things...)

One thing that might make it hard to sleep tonight... okay so I never eat frozen pizza anymore (the fact that I don't even own a pizza cutter almost proves that), but I visited the 'rents yesterday and they gave me some food, including a frozen pizza. Tonight I cooked the damn thing, and it made my apartment smoky. So smoky that the fire alarm went off. Then I remembered some notice about too many false fire alarms and that they are now charging $500 for false alarms. OH SHIT. I fanned the thing for about 30 seconds and it stopped, but now it's constantly flashing green. Was it always flashing green? Does it flash green so management knows that it was my apartment that set off the alarm? I'm seriously shitting my pants right now. It was 30 seconds. I didn't see the damn fire department come. Only the alarm in my apartment went off. I hope I'm just being paranoid. But if tomorrow I wake up and find out that I'm getting charged $500 for something so stupid, I'm gonna FLIP.

A good weekend, and more to come

Friday was one of the most productive nights in a long time. Ran errands, did a ton of good cleaning, got in workout, then got a good night's sleep. For once I didn't even consider going out, and I don't regret it one bit. I was also resting myself for...

... the party bus on Saturday night! Thanks to the friend who threw this great birthday bash. 37 people on a converted school bus with two kegs, and oh yeah, it was themed CEOs and Business Ho's -- everyone looked fantastic. I also experienced tobacco for the first time EVAR. Seriously. And I sorta got tricked into it. At this German bar, some waitress was walking around with a board and some powder on it, and a friend directed her toward me as I was instructed to sniff it, well actually I was being screamed at by about 10 people to do it and it got stuck in my face and just happened, I didn't even know what it was (it was in a public bar by the waitress, it wasn't something too horrible, right?!). Well it was snuff (or whatever?!), basically snorting tobacco. Gross. Would NOT have done that if I had known what it was. But I have to say, it was a freaking rush. And everyone was telling me how that sh*t was weak. Well not to a tobacco noob! Anyways, I'm hoping that was a once in a lifetime experience -- like where that's the one and only time I ever do that. I still feel like a horrible person for doing it. What have I become?! (only half-joking... :) Well anyways the rest of the night was a blast too, ending at Sneaky Pete's with a ton of dancing. I love dancing. Yeah I said it.

Sunday was good too (besides the after-effects of Saturday) as I got to have dinner with one of my best friends in the world. One of the best memories was when she was Tails and I was Sonic for Halloween. If you don't know the video game, Tails follows around Sonic wherever he goes. We got to catch up after well over a year of not seeing one another. And it was sad as I had to say goodbye right away too. I've never been to jail, but it felt like she got to visit me for a few hours while I was in prison and then she had to leave. Translation: I'll miss her until I see her again. Oh Tails.

Tonight is hockey with a ton of old teammates from high school, and most of 'em are gonna be out of shape. It's gonna be great playing with them again and watching them huff and puff as they get back into hockey shape.

Upcoming is a mini vacation to my current favorite travel destination. That will probably change someday. Like when I'm 60. Ha, well I don't know when, but I know it's gonna be freaking awesome.

And then after that I'm gonna plan a birthday bash for myself. It's gonna be freaking awesome.

New Year's Resolution

Get my eyes fixed. I can barely read what I'm typing right now. This should be an easy one... right?

Right now I'm in the middle of quite the fun pile. Xmas and New Year's down, friend b-day then trip then my b-day the next 3 weekends. JOY
