PAIN

Paintball on Saturday... balls of paint hitting you at at 200-300 mph... ouch
Bachelor party on Saturday... different kind of ouch
Dislocated middle finger from hockey... OUCH
Knowing I won't be able to play hockey or softball for at least a few weeks... mental ouch
Bills from doctor for dislocated finger... ouch

Health... you don't know what you got 'til it's gone

How the finger got dislocated... I beat a guy to the puck against the boards going full speed, I go to make a quick turn and he takes out my feet, and I break a good chunk of my fall with my finger. I get up slowly with this shooting pain, and as I take off my glove on the skate back to the bench, I look with horror to see:

(Note: not my actual hand, but it looked almost EXACTLY like this)

When I mentioned I was busy...

...in my last post, I forgot to take the added stress into account. Stress that was just from frustration and stress that made me weak at the knees and lose my appetite. This can't be healthy. Something will have to change in the future or I won't make it much past the top of the hill...

One the things I can actually go into detail about is the apartment situation... I'm moving. Again. But... it's only up two floors. The a-holes that live above me, who have continually stomped whenever I do so much as to flush the toilet, have taken it to a new level now that I've complained a few times. Monday morning I took a 10 minute shower. During these 10 minutes (and only these 10 minutes), the bath water above me (which makes my water temperature change enough for me to have to adjust my temperature) was turned on for a minute, then off for a minute, then on for a minute, then off for a minute, then on for a minute, then off for a minute, then on for a minute, then off for a minute. I thought I was going to commit murder. I have somehow not ever pounded back on the ceiling... don't ask me how. I went straight to the office and complained for probably the fourth time this year, and they realized that they couldn't make the jerks stop, so they agreed to let me move to a top-floor apartment where I could never possibly have this problem again. I'm still unsatisfied that these jerks are getting off with a slap on the wrist... I feel bad for the next tenant in my apartment. This water on-off thing happened again yesterday as well. This crap on top of the work week I've been having is... just... well, indescribable. I'd rather not put down what I really want to say here. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The Eau C and more

Spent the weekend with sis in the Eau C (come on that's kinda funny) after 3 days in Menomonie for work. (You know, the O.C., the Eau C, get it, haha ha ... ha...)

...and yeah so anyways I'm still pretty worn out. Friday night I had Red Robin for the first time. I love Red Robin. I have recently become addicted to burgers with bleu cheese, and they had a specialty bleu cheese burger. It was so good that I demanded to go back again on Sunday before I left. Anyways I finally got to see Water St. after being in Eau Claire a number of times prior... weekend fun. Saturday I hung out with new brother-in-law, checked out the local area on my rollerblades, and watched some UFC. Oh, and the reason I stuck around was because one of my sister's friends wanted to meet me... so I did.

Sunday, I finally got to see TDK... not on the IMAX, but I'll make it there sometime soon for my 2nd or 3rd showing. Or 4th. Seriously. It was that good. I can somewhat rate how much I like a movie by how much nerd-web-surfing I do on the movie after I've seen it... some might question how much of a life I have if they checked my internet web history for the past 24 hours... yeah, a lot of Batman. After TDK #1, I raced home to make it with 10 minutes to spare before hockey.

Busy week last week, fun and busy weekend, busy week ahead, busy weekend ahead. Busy busy busy...

Finally, 4th

I think I've put in enough time lately to deserve a break. A non-stop mix of hockey, workouts, softball, golf, extra work, trips, work trips, and nights out has me actually yearning for a day where I just sit and do nothing. I could say I'm going to take it easy this weekend, but anyone who knows me knows that if there's something to do, I'm gonna do it. I have options tonight, a good day planned for the 4th, and then Saturday I finally have no set plans yet. Sunday will be a lazy day with hockey in the early evening. All in all, I think I can say that things are well. Even my messed-up back is improving... I'm finally slowly coming of the ibuprofen diet...
