Multiflavored weekend
Friday night, Twins game with work colleagues... a low key night and a landslide victory. Which kept me fresh for...
Saturday: Calhoun rollerblading with my first peek at Lake Harriet. I had never gone over to Harriet (or Lake of the Isles) as I love Calhoun so much, but there weren't a ton of people out under the grey sky so I ventured over a lake. Mostly the same but I think I have to see it when all the people are out in the nice weather. After blading I ran home to wrap the wedding gift and get ready for a wedding reception. I still wish I could have made the actual wedding in Mexico; I would have to make up for that at the reception... it didn't disappoint. I definitely got to see a mix of old and fresh faces with decent food, some drinks, some dancing, and just all-around fun. I also got to understanding more that I'm just still a wedding newbie; my date, who is my age, has been to fiftysomething weddings, wow. I suppose they could get old but right now I look forward to every one.
Sunday was Mom's day. I cooked... ribeyes with zucchini/yellow squash/sweet vidalia onion vegetable medley, mashed potatoes, and garlic bread. Mmm. And no hockey (for a few weeks now), actually a relief knowing I'd have a full day of "rest".
Onto the week...
