Another weekend
Friday was another "Grand" night starting at my friend's apartment on Grand Ave. Somehow I discovered the most dangerous drink I've ever made. I thought it would be just another vodka lemonade, but you could not taste anything but lemonade in a half vodka-half lemonade mix. I made them for two others and they didn't believe me until they made their second themselves. This is how you make it: buy a big bottle of lemon juice from concentrate, I used a 32 oz. bottle of ReaLemon. Mix 1/2 cup of lemon juice with 1/2 cup of sugar in 3.5-4 cups of water, depending on your preference. That's all for the lemonade, very simple. I used Ketel One vodka, I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. A half and half mix of Ketel One and this lemonade over ice was pure danger. Continuing on with the night, we ended up at Drink, again. Pretty much a same old story kind of night there, and we got back to the Grand apartment where I made a 4 AM breakfast consisting of ham & cheese omelettes, hash browns, and bacon. We also bought two fat red hot burritos from the gas station. Pure horror for your body, but hey, it tasted good at the time. Last time I saw the clock was oh, 5 or so...
Saturday night was another fun one. A last minute rollerskating cancellation left me with my roommate who just got back from AZ. He was at a spring training game in the outfield behind a fence and ended up being in the background for a top 10 play on Sportscenter, pretty cool. I'll have to look for that. Anyways, he got home from work around 6:30 and pretty much dragged me out, as I had planned on a low-key night, but I'm glad I went with him to St. Cloud. We ended up at the Red Carpet as usual but couldn't find our regular bartender right away. We ended up finding her in a part of this huge bar that I've never been, the martini bar. So we were sitting at the martini bar among a much older and calmer crowd, but it didn't stop us from being our usual selves. We had some good laughs and at the end of the night we gave the bar staff a round of applause, which was pretty funny in itself, as they were taken aback and eventually gave a bow. I fell asleep pretty fast when we got back to my friends' place and slept a good nine hours, which feels great today.
When I woke up today I heard one of the most disgusting stories I've ever heard. The guys in St. Cloud have a friend they call "Snake", and they start talking about this video they call "Snake eats poop." At first I didn't think this could possible be what I thought it was. It was. For a mere $50, this guy got drunk and chewed and ate his own poo in front of about 20 people I guess, and four of them instantly puked. I almost gagged just from hearing the story. He had his poo in tinfoil from the night before because he was gonna use it for some prank, and then people starting egging him on. Great. To make things grosser than gross, some people asked him if he'd drink his own pee for $20, and he said "well how much do I have to drink." Wow. What's amazing about this is that it was caught on video... but some people in the video were wearing their frat logos or something so the frat ended up hunting down and destroying every copy. Well, almost. My roommate still has a copy from when he went to St. Cloud on his computer which hasn't worked for months, so a plan was devised to get that off of his computer somehow. If this thing ever got on the internet, I'm 100% positive it would spread like wildfire. Sick.
To end my weekend I went to the Auto Show at the Minneapolis Convention Center with my roommates. I don't know much about cars, but all of the new cars I saw were sick. I can't even imagine owning some of those as I would be freaking out over preventing damage/scratching/dents/stains etc. Someday, someday... that would require money or getting lucky in some drawing.
So yeah, that was my weekend, pretty low key, ha ^_^
