Lotsa stuff on my mind

Good and not-so-good things... no order, I'm just gonna pop-em out as they pop into my mind.

Hockey tonight was awesome. I took it easy (well for me on a Saturday night) last night just so I'd be in prime shape tonight. A few goals and a nice win, and a crazy play that got people talking... man I love that. I'll stop myself there - I generally don't like boasting but hey, once in a while is okay.

After a convo with a friend recently, I got to thinking about how much I take my friends for granted. I know some people, let's call them acquaintances, that I honestly envy a lot because of something they have, but after some thinking I found a general trait of these people -- their lack of friends. While they get that thing I envy (okay okay, a good portion of the time it's money, but not always), they give up or just can't have the wide variety of friends that I have, and I need to remind myself more that I'm pretty damn fortunate in that respect. Just a quick passing thought on that... which leads me to another thing on friends...

Friday night in St. Cloud I saw a friend that I absolutely have a great time with, but I never see her, and it got to where I saw her so infrequently that I pretty much just stopped calling. Then I saw her out, and we both lit up. It made me kick myself on the inside, and I'm gonna call her more often, just to chat if nothing else. Just seeing her made my night.

Saturday night in Minneapolis I saw a friend that I absolutely have a great time with, but I never see her, and it got to where I saw her so infrequently that I pretty much stopped calling. Then she snuck up behind me while we were switching bars and covered my eyes so I couldn't see. I turned around and the "I miss you" look was reflected between the two of us. It made me kick myself on the inside, and I'm gonna call her more often, just to chat if nothing else. Just seeing her made my night.

A lot of stuff pertaining to work is on my mind. It should be an interesting week, probably stressful too. But for that to happen, I should probably end this random post of thoughts. End post.
